Tracie Michelle Hartley, age 46, of Huntington, Indiana has passed away on Sunday, August 17th, 2025. She lived the life of a scholar, learning anything she could, though primarily she graduated from Huntington North High School in 1997. After, she graduated from Ivy Tech Community College in 2015 with a degree in nursing. As all of us know of her, she spent her career in health care, helping people as she always loved while working primarily at Heritage Pointe of Huntington as an LPN.
Aside from her career, Tracie had endless hobbies she could spend hours on and be overjoyed. All she wanted to do was create with her love of art. Everything from crocheting, painting, music, or jewelry, all of it was hers to create and share with others. She had a huge heart, and people and animals filled it. Rescuing animals in the middle of the night didn’t matter to her so long as they were safe and happy, as everyone always was in her care that washes over all she’s around like sunshine itself.
Tracie was born on April 2, 1979 in Wabash a daughter of Fred and Sarah (Dials) Hartley.
Survivors include her mother: Sarah Hartley of Huntington; two daughters: Au’Jalique (Devin) Wade of Abington PA, and Michaela (Gage Tomlinson) Wade of South Whitley; a brother: Ted Chapman of Lagro; a sister: TyeAnn Chapman of Indianapolis; a grandson: Nash Wayne Tomlinson; and a granddaughter on the way: McKinley Marie Tomlinson.
Tracie was preceded in death by her father.
