I had the pleasure of working with Bill several times in the last few years. He purchased steel from me and I can't recall talking to a nicer, more gentle person than Bill. We always shared a laugh, made some jokes, and on occasion he stopped by our office to pay a visit. I am so sorry to learn of his passing - and so sorry that I was not able to pay respects to him. He was a great man. I will miss talking to him.
Please know of my sincere condolences to his family. I am so sorry.

Yes, he was my childhood friend we did a lot of stupid stuff together growing up, dear friend that has grown apart over the years, but still close to my soul. Sorry that it was his time to go, and that I was unable to pay my respects to the family, and more importantly reconnect with him beforehand.

Bill came into our lives like a rocket, actually through a prank on a mutual acquainteance. My husband (who passed away in 2008) became a good friend of his and vice versa - helping each other out, having each other's backs and helping others. We spent time with Bill on the water boating here, the lakes and Dale Hollow on the houseboat. Although my name isn't "Shirley", he called me Shirley and fondly called my husband Duane "Dewey".. Why? - who knows but it stuck. I am sad for Teddy and Clayton, the future they will miss with him and the unbelieveable loss that Teddy faces carrying on life for her and her family until they see him again. But I know Duane was there to greet him and they were pleasantly surprised to see each other, but I know, from the past they both will continue to do good work for God and watch over those they left behind. Good Bless the Wike family and extended family! We lost another good one, but God walks in his garden and picks the brightest and most colorful blooms for his bouquet....Bill and Duane may you rest in peace. You were loved and will be missed! Until we all meet again someday.

I lived a few miles from Bill and his family. I Went to Huntington North with Bill, Nick and Cori. Playing football in High school with him was great. I think the most memorable time was when Nick and I swam across the Salamonie Reservoir and back while Bill was in his 10ft mini speed boat driving around us and keeping an eye out for other boats. We also road dirt bikes at their house down the dirt roads. My prayers go out to all his family during this time of sorrow. Bill was a great guy and I'm glad I got to know the Wike family. Rest in Peace Bill.

Thinking of you Nick, Diane and Cori. I met Bill and Teddy at the salamonie a couple of summers back and he was so nice. I could see how much he loved his little boy. My heart has been so heavy for you all with this news. I hope it’s some sort of comfort knowing that others are thinking of you. Sending my love and prayers to your entire family.

The last time I saw Bill was in my sister’s driveway. He pulled his police car into the driveway and let my kids check it out!
Then Bill holding my then 3 year old daughter and admiring her long curly hair. This was a sweet moment! I’m so very sorry for your loss.
Prayers have been lifted for your family
