Erveline Skipper "Skipper" Rodgers Sims

Mrs. Sims was a longtime member of the Huntsville and Texas Women’s Bowling Association. She also enjoyed her time spent as a Texas Special Olympics Coach.

Mrs. Sims will be greatly missed by her family that survives her which include: her daughters, Georgena Doster of Huntsville and Royana Sims of Austin; Daughter-in-law, Pam Humbird of LaPorte; sister, Odessa McGowan of Fred; brother, Joe Rodgers and wife Earline of Dallas; grandchildren, George Humbird of Bandera and Jared Doster of Huntsville; great-grandson, Bradley Humbird of Alvin; along with many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Roy Sims; son, Bruce Humbird; sister Pat Ferguson, brothers, Howard Rodgers and Bennet Lee Rodgers.

Funeral Services will be held at 2 P.M., Wednesday, September 28, 2011 at Huntsville Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Regan Cooksey officiating.
