Floyd was born in Kenney, TX. on December 3, 1930 and passed away on June 20, 2012 in Navasota, TX. Floyd wanted so badly to serve his country that he fudged his age in order to join the Army during the Korean War. He proudly served his country for four years. After returning from the service he met and married the love of his life in 1952. They welcomed their only child, Debra in 1953. Floyd was an avid angler and hunter spending many hours on the lake or in the woods with his grandchildren. Later in life, he spent many days riding his lawn mower and taking care of his pets.
Left to cherish these memories are his wife Evelyn Lisembee Pfeffer, and daughter Debra Goodney and husband Anthony of Riverside, TX., five grandchildren: Josette Trantham, Jake Fry, Dane Fry, Clay Goodney, Keely Parrish and their spouses. He also leaves thirteen and a half grandchildren including "his boys" Gage and Harley Fry. He is also survived by one sister Dorothy Bremer and husband of Hockley, TX. The memories will always be alive on this hill in Riverside where he was King.
