Funeral Services for Jerry Spencer Fitzhugh, 62, will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 18, 2012 at Huntsville Funeral Home. Jerry was born on June 5, 1949 in Phillips, Texas to Ovie & Hazel Fitzhugh. He passed away in Baytown, Texas on Sunday, February 12, 2012. Jerry loved to read books and play golf. He worked as a prison guard for over 20 years with TDCJ. Jerry willingly took on the burden of taking care of his parents until their deaths. Jerry was never married and had no children but was more than just an uncle to his nieces and nephews. He was a second father and grandfather for many of them. He truly loved his family. Jerry is survived by his brothers, Richard and Tim Fitzhugh of Las Vegas; 8 nieces and nephews; 12 great nieces and nephews; 2 great great nephews and many friends.
