Mr. Kirkland served in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War in the infantry. He served two tours of 13 and 12 months. He worked for many years in the construction and the sheet metal industry.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Betty Kirkland; daughter, Michelle Fitch; sons, David, Kevin and Bobby Kirkland; sister, Martha Vrana and brother, Joe Kirkland.
A Celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, July 2, 2011 from 4P.M.-6 P.M. at Huntsville Funeral Home.
