I love Mr Rick so much. He always came in to work with a smile and always told me to stop running around like a headless chicken. He always encouraged me and you never knew if he was ever going through something bad himself. This world will be a little less joyful with Mr Rick gone.

I just left my first meeting at the TLC Food Pantry, Ricks' assistant, now attending meetings and doing the part of the job that Rick enjoyed and did so well. It is a testimoney to the type of person that Rick was. Very giving, a wonderful leader. He trained me to do his job just because. I will never be able to fill his shoes. I am blessed to have had a boss that was so caring, funny, and just fun to be around. I looked forward to working with him each week. Another thing that I loved about Rick, is that he was just plain folk. Nothing fancy just himself. He loved his wife, and was always talking about her; he lovingly referred to her as "Baby Doll". He always shared his life stories. He loved his daughter's. He called them his "Girls" He was proud of them and their accomplishments. Even bragged about his son-in-law occassionally! Janice, thnk you for sharing him with us on Wednesday. We miss him very much!!! I miss you too, I would love to get together for lunch. GOD Bless you Janice. You are in my thoughts and prayers

Rick, what a wonderful man of God, husband, father,son and brother.  He was a wonderful server.  Always first to do whatever needed to be done while never asking anything for himself. We love you all and will always remember Rick. Love to you  Janice and your sweet girls.

Although we have known Rick and Janice for a short time, both have impacted our lives.  Rick has always shared a warm heart and smile, and made everyone feel at ease.  We are truly blessed to have shared even a small part of his life and are comforted in knowing he is not "gone," just relocated with our heavenly Father.  Our heartfelt condolences to Janice, and all Rick's family and friends.

As I've been a part of the family for only 3 years, I knew Rick as a sweet man who genuinely loved his wife and family dearly, and he looked after his mother-in-law with attentive devotion, even when his health wasn't at its best. Rick was a fun challenge to play the game of Wahoo with, and he won most all of the games. Rick, you will be missed.

We've been blessed to have known Rick and Janice for many years and Rick's spirit of "git 'er done" was always appreciated. He wasn't Rick if he wasn't cracking a joke and just generally trying to keep you on your toes!! Rick, we already miss you buddy!!! And Janice, we love you sweetheart and are here for you!! You are in our prayers........

What a great guy!  Rick is one of the most obvious illustrations of God's redemptive work in a man's life.  Rick was always humble enough to tell you how changed ha was from his "old" self.  I never knew his old self because he was consistently demonstrating the joy of knowing Jesus - "the life-changer!  Awesome man of God you are Rick . . . See ya later, my friend . . .

What an amazing man. I first met Rick through Team and immediately attached to his sense of humor and great story telling. His wife Janice is one of the sweetest women I've ever met and both of them together were a Team like no other. I enjoyed every meeting I was able to see Rick and Janice, always greeting them with, "well if it ain't the Shipps right there!!" to which Rick would always reply with a funny one liner. He will be missed deeply. My condolences.
