Robert Gary Hardy

Robert “Gary” Hardy was born November 1, 1943, in Huntsville, Texas to Marion and Dorothy Hardy. Gary was a life time resident of Huntsville. He went to be with the Lord on December 4, 2010 at the age of 67, after a very short battle with cancer.

He is survived by his mother Dorothy Hardy, daughters Trenda Coburn and husband Arthur, Marchae Wood and husband Kyle, Tashia Greer and husband Doyle, Brooke Hardy and Hayle Hardy; son Chance Hardy; sister Malynn Reese; brother Mark Hardy and wife Debra; grandchildren Kirk Greer, Chase Wood and wife Yvette, Crystal Branson and husband David, Clint Coburn, Kent Greer and wife Amy; seven great-grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father Marion L. Hardy

Gary worked at Hardy Lumber Company and also owned and operated Hardy Feed and Farm Supply. Gary loved spending time in the outdoors hunting, fishing and cooking with his family and friends. Having a good time was at the top of his list. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to someone who was less fortunate than him. Daddy had a special way of making each one of his six children feel like they were each his favorite. With his encouragement, you felt like you could conquer the world. His love was always unconditional. Thank You Daddy for giving us the gift of Love.

Family will receive friends from 5-7 P., Monday, December 6, 2010 at Huntsville Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at 2 P.M., Tuesday, December 7, 2010 at Adickes Addition of Oakwood Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Huntsville Funeral Home.
