John S. Miller

John Simon Miller, aged 78, passed away at Cape Cod Hospital on Friday, September 13, 2019 in Hyannis, MA. His parents, Simon and Claudia (MacDonald) Miller, predecease him. John graduated from Barnstable High School and upon graduation, enrolled in the service. An Army Veteran of the Vietnam War, John proudly served his country from December 1963 until December 1965, receiving letters of commendation from three of his commanding officers including General W.C. Westmoreland.

Returning from his tour of duty, John went on to work as a Police Officer for the Barnstable Police Department for 31 years. John is survived by, and will be missed by, his many loving friends and former wife, Patricia Minotti. He was a member of the Hyannis Elks, and the Discover Flying R/C Club.
