Ann Louise (Sweeney) McKeon

Ann Louise (Sweeney) McKeon, 95, of West Hyannisport, MA passed away on Wednesday, February 26, 2025. She was the loving wife of the late Leo Joseph McKeon with whom she shared nearly 40 years of marriage.

She was born and raised in Taunton, MA, the daughter of the late James and Ann (Welch) Sweeney. At a young age, she and her siblings summered on the Cape with her parents at their family property. In 1987 she moved to the Cape permanently. Ann enjoyed sharing stories of old Cape Cod with her grand and great- grandchildren.

Ann was kind, bright, had a quick wit and was life curious. It was important to her to keep up with her family and friends, current events, politics, and her community. She loved travel and did so extensively. Every day included her crossword puzzles, soduko, and once achieved, her glass of wine. She was a longtime parishioner of Our Lady of Victory, a life long Craigville Beach member and volunteer with the Centerville Library.

Ann thoroughly enjoyed working with her daughter at her Hyannis store, Allium. Above all else, she adored spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband Leo, Ann is predeceased by her sister Mary and her brother James.

She is survived by her son John McKeon (wife Caroline), son James McKeon (wife Molly), daughter Mary McKeon and daughter Caroline McKeon. She is also survived by her adored grandchildren Jack, Maggie (Trevor), Maureen (Mike), Abby (Scott), her cherished great-grandchildren Elena, Jamie and Wes, along with brother-in-law Donald and sister-in-law Marie.

Visiting hours will take place on Monday, March 3rd from 4-6 PM at Doane, Beal & Ames, 160 W. Main St., Hyannis, MA 02061. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 AM Tuesday, March 4th at Our Lady of Victory Parish, Centerville followed by burial at Mosswood Cemetery in Cotuit where she will be laid to rest aside loving husband Leo.
