
Annie Wyman, 93, of Centerville, MA died on January 29th 2011. Born in Brockton on December 14th 1917, she was the daughter of Ethel and Morris Mendelson and the devoted and loving wife of Benjamin Wyman of Centerville for 65 years. She was also a devoted mother to Maurice and Michael Wyman of Hyannis.
During the war, she worked as an electrician and wired LST’s at the Quincy shipyard. Later, she ran the shipping dept. for a large frozen food distributor on Lewis Wharf in Boston for 15+ years. Finally, she became a Nurses Aid at the VA Hospital in Brockton, MA until her retirement in 1971.
She was an avid lover of animals and liked to go to Foxwoods and play the slots. Annie had many interests, but most of all, she loved being with her family, especially her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She never missed any of their sporting events. She was a lifetime member of the Cape Cod Synagogue chapter of Hadassah.
A loving mother to Maurice and Cynthia Wyman of Centerville, Michael and Cheryl Crowell Wyman of Hyannis and loving grandmother to Renee and Gregory Dowling of Hyannis MA., Joshua Wyman of Hyannis, Reid Wyman of Centerville, Rachael Wyman of Taos, New Mexico and Binh Wyman of Hyannis. She was the loving great grandmother to Sean and Brenden Dowling of Hyannis, MA.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday February 2, 2011 at 11:30am at the Cape Cod Synagogue 145 Winter St. Hyannis. Interment will be private at Mosswood Cemetery on Tuesday. The family will receive guests at 24 Justice Douglas Way in Centerville 02632 on Tuesday February 1st and Wednesday February 2nd from 7-9pm.
