I was always amazed and impressed at Barri's spirit and willingness to share her wisdom without pretension and an inquisativeness with humility. She stayed involved in psychiatry and with psychiatrists even though it wasn't ever easy. I admired her dignity and warm smile. She never apologized for any of those over 80 year things that our culture often moves too fast for. A fine role model whose diminutive size belied her large heart and presence. Thanks Barri for sharing.

I knew Barri for 20 years. I loved taking her for sunset drives to Barnstable Harbor, eating at Cookes, playing Old Maid and Crazy Eights, trivia nights at Unos and visits to Scargo Pottery. She was kind, warm and an intelligent, independent woman. I will miss her smile and our conversations that ranged from world politics to her childhood in China. She was a gem.

I am so sorry for your loss. Dr. A. was the best. I worked with her at Neponset. She was a very caring Dr. and her clients just loved her. I will keep you all in my prayers.

I considered Barri a friend. I just wish I could have been able to spend more time in Hyannis. We always talked about going to lunch. One day we'll meet again and go to DINNER.
