Mrs Pierce was my mentor and favorite teacher at Barnstable High school. She was there for me for me all four years of High School and made the experience great and thought me so much about business and how to use it in my every day life. I will always have a spot in my heart for her, I am sorry about your loss.

We will never forget the kindness and encouragement that Carolyn showed Maya as she developed in her skating career, and me as I learned to be a skating Mom. She was always there for questions and had great suggestions. Very giving of her time and expertise. We will miss her, and are so very sorry for your loss.
With deepest sympathy,
Maya and Maryellen Lee

We are sorry to hear of Carolyn's passing but rest in the fact that she is no longer suffering. We will miss our times on Hyannis when we would stay with Dana & Carolyn and get to visit with the many family members. Our condolences and sorrow we feel along with you and your Dad. Very hard to know what to say really except " So sorry & she will be missed. Her and Dana raised two very nice daughters and I will pray for all of them.

Carolyn was an amazing volunteer for the 2014 U.S. Figure Skating Championships and the 2016 World Figure Skating Championships. So much fun too! She was also a long-time leader for our sport, with a strong voice heard throughout New England. I have always had the greatest respect for her strength, honesty and commitment. Not always easy to find in one person. On behalf of everyone at The Skating Club of Boston, please know that we are very sorry for your personal loss, and the deep loss to skating.

I enjoyed teaching with Carolyn for over 12 years as she was always dedicated to her students first in her classroom & did all she could for BHS’ Special Needs students in the School Store she so aptly managed.
