Dear Eileen, Matt and Erica - I worked with Charlie at AJ Oster for some time and I learned recently that he passed away.  Please accept my sympathy; he was a great guy.  He always spoke lovingly of his wife and children.  Sincerely, Petrina Lauro

I just found out that my USAF flying squadron mate Charlie has passed. I was stationed with him at Nha Trang Air Base, So. Vietnam, 1968. Charlie and I communicated via emails for a while in 1999 or 2000, my memory fades.
I tried to get him to go to one of our reunions. Eventually i lost contact with him.
He was a brave airman.  God Bless.

To the VanZandt family ... I was very saddened to hear of Charlie's recent death.  Ironically I had thought about him recently and intended to ask Peter what he was up to.  Unfortunately, the next time I saw Peter, he informed me that Charlie had just passed away.  I hadn't seen Charlie in many years, but remember playing Babe Ruth League baseball with him on the Cardinals.  He was a talented ballplayer and a great guy.  My sincerest condolences are with you all.

It was wonderfull that Charlie took the time to find me after all these years.It is a pity that time was to short to have seen each other again.We grew up together in Taunton but life took us on different paths and kept us seperated.It did not stop our friendship for one another.My deepest sympathies to all the family. I am so sorry and sad to hear about the loss of Charlie. Ironically, he was just on my mind last week.  He played a integral role in my life back in the A.J./ Oster Alloy days. I will never forget all the fun we had and the things he taught me; I still use some of his old jokes. Charlie was a blessing to me and had a hand in the man I am today. Eileen, I pray and will continue to pray for you and your family.

I had the good fortune to have Charlie & Eileen as  close neighbors for many years before they moved to the Cape. I will miss him as will all of the other people that knew him.
