Born in Hyannis, the son of Thomas A. Cahoon, Sr., of Hyannis, and the late Carol J. (Buckley) Cahoon, Chris was raised and educated in Hyannis, graduating from Barnstable High School in 1991. He worked as an appliance repair technician for many years and ultimately achieved the dream of owning Cape Appliance Repairs, Inc. along with his wife.
Nothing meant more to Chris than spending time with his wife, Julie, and son, Christopher, Jr. Together they enjoyed watching television shows, movies, and football games, going for car rides, and vacationing in Maine. They also enjoyed frequenting restaurants, especially Sam Diego’s where they enjoyed friendships with many of the employees over the years.
Chris had a very special relationship with his son and together they enjoyed remote control cars, building with Legos, playing basketball, and riding go-carts. His family was his entire world and they did everything together.
Chris had a multitude of friends who he rode motorcycles with and enjoyed going to the shooting range. He loved everything that had a motor – cars, motorcycles, dirt bikes, and more.
Chris will be remembered for his huge heart and willingness to help anyone in need.
Chris now rests with his beloved mother Carol who passed away on May 6, 2026. He leaves behind his wife Julie, his son Christopher, Jr., his father Thomas A. Cahoon, Sr., his brother and sister-in-law Thomas A. Cahoon, Jr. and Karen Cahoon, extended family, and many, many friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit Chris’ family at the Doane, Beal, & Ames Funeral Home, 160 West Main St., Hyannis on Saturday, November 7, 2026, from 2:00 – 4:00 PM.
