Craig S Pye

Craig S. Pye, 57, died February 25, 2011 at the McCarthy Care Center in Sandwich after a lengthy illness. He grew up and was educated locally at the Barnstable Vocational School. Until his retirement in 2005, he worked at Hall Plumbing, a career that spanned nearly 30 years. Craig was also a firefighter with the West Barnstable Fire Department. He joined the WBFD in 1969, retiring as the Deputy Chief in 2009.

He is survived by his wife June (Snell) Pye. In addition to his wife, he leaves his daughter Heidi, her husband Michael and their daughter Addison Henninger, all of Dover N.H., a sister, Susan Sarkinen and her husband Peter of E. Falmouth, niece and goddaughter Rachel Sarkinen of E. Falmouth, and nephew Tim and his wife Ivonne Sarkinen of Elmont, N.Y. He also leaves his aunt and godmother Phyllis Willman.

Visiting hours will be held Tuesday March 1, 2011 from 4-6pm at the Doane Beal & Ames Funeral Home, 160 W. Main St. Hyannis, MA 02601. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home at the end of the visiting hours.
