

Hyannis � Daniel F. Dacey, 89, died February 10, 2011. Born, raised and educated in Somerville, he entered the U.S. Army following his graduation from high school. He served proudly in the Philippines during WWII. Upon his return, he joined the A&P supermarket company where he spent his entire career, working his way up to General Area Supervisor for eastern Massachusetts, including Cape Cod and the islands. He met his wife Marilyn during his early 30�s and they were married in 1985. They relocated to the Cape in 1973 and Dan retired in the early 1980�s. He was devoted to his wife and they enjoyed traveling, particularly their yearly trips to Florida. They were both avid Red Sox fans, enjoyed bicycling, walking, and the beach . He was a devout parishioner of Our Lady of Victory Parish.
He is survived by his wife Marilyn Dacey (Kenney), sisters Alice Coakley of Belmont, Ruth O�Brien of Plymouth, Barbara Mullane of Hyannis, one brother, Paul Dacey,of Manchester, N.H. as well as many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be on Sunday February 13, 2011 from 2-4pm at the Doane Beal & Ames Funeral Home 160 W. Main St. Hyannis, MA 02601. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Monday February 14, 2011 at 10am at Our Lady of Victory Church, Centerville. Interment will be in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.
