Daniel James Rodrigues passed away unexpectedly on August 4, 2021 at the age of 33. Dan was born on January 29, 1988 at the Cape Cod Hospital. He attended Barnstable Schools through middle school and then attended B.C. High School in Dorchester, MA. Later he went on to play college baseball at UMass Amherst.
Dan was a true athlete and loved all sports but particularly baseball. He was an avid reader of history and had an encyclopedic mind. He held on tightly to his religious beliefs which always gave him the inner strength to persevere through all the tangles life threw at him. He loved his country and considered himself a patriot, but was very proud of his heritage, especially his Portuguese side.
Most recently Dan partnered with his father at Anchor Building Services where he was instrumental to the business. He enjoyed the satisfaction he had in creating something truly beautiful and loved the pleasure his customers experienced when a project was done. He also gladly helped his mom as part of the real estate team she belongs to. Whenever help was needed, Dan was there. He took great pride in all he did.
If you were family or somebody that he called friend, he loved you with all that he had. He wouldn’t hesitate to lend a hand or just give support to those that needed it. He had a beautiful soul and a generous heart that impacted many people. His smile was infectious.
Dan leaves his parents John and Jan Rodrigues both of West Barnstable; his brother Timothy Rodrigues of West Barnstable; his brother Michael Rodrigues of Pensacola, FL; His sister-in-law Cady Rodrigues of Pensacola FL; his uncle Albert Rodrigues of Bourne; his uncle Robert Rodrigues of Menifee, Ca; his uncle Nils Soderberg of Yarmouth; his aunt Irma Rodrigues of Menifee, Ca; his aunt Nancy Soderberg of Mashpee; his niece Ayvana Rodrigues of Pensacola, FL; his nephews Luke and Matthew Rodrigues of Pensacola, FL; and numerous cousins.
