HYANNIS - David Paul Carroll, age 61, of Hyannis MA, passed away on Monday, July 27th after several years of failing health. David was the son of the late John A. Carroll and the late Gertrude Feeney Carroll of Dennis, MA and the brother of the late John A Carroll, Jr. of Wilmington, VT.

He is survived by his brother Paul Carroll and his wife, Christine Carroll, of Marshfield MA, his brother Kevin Carroll and his companion, Linda Piekos of Yarmouth, MA, his brother William Carroll of Hyannis, MA and his sister, Ellen Carroll Sullivan and her husband Gregory V. Sullivan of Hingham, MA and also many nieces and nephews.

David was born in Boston and grew up in Holbrook before moving to New Hampshire, Vermont, St. Thomas, and settling on Cape Cod. He worked in the restaurant industry, the ski industry, the tuna fishing industry and as a general contractor. He loved the mountains and and the ocean and enjoyed living and working in both locations. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed many years of fishing with his brothers on the Cape and in the Cayman Islands. He loved to eat and never gained an ounce, and told way too many corny jokes like his father. David was bright and compassionate and full of life and laughter. He was friendly and kind to everyone he met and will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

No memorial service is scheduled. He will be celebrated with family and friends at a later date.

I am very sad to know that my old friend Davey C. has passed on to the mountains and oceans of the heavens above.
My love goes out to all of Dave’s family.
We will always have the great memories of our childhood experiences together. Wow! So many incredible adventures .
You gave us so much joy and laughter.
Remember those days on Whittier Drive when PeeWee and Gertie would hold court on the comical show that would ensue from Jackie, Paul, Kevin, Billy, Ellen, Dave and their friends and family. Those were the best days and I will always cherish them.
My hats off to buddy,

Andy Baler
