David Gwenn Tripp

David Gwenn Tripp, 76, of Sandwich, MA passed away on June 14, 2024. Born in Roxboro, NC, he was the son of the late Weaver Wilson Tripp Jr. and Rose Ella Millhiser. He attended and graduated from Person Senior High School in Roxboro, NC. He joined the Air Force in 1969 and devoted his career to the Air Force. After 11 years of active service, David continued his career with the Air Force working in our nation’s capital for the Department of Defense. Working as a photographer for the Air Force Chief of Staff at the Pentagon, he traveled the country and world documenting our nation’s history.

David loved photography and always had a camera in his hand. He was an avid, natural horseman and loved all living things. Horses were David and Sandy’s passion and owned horses for much of their married life.

He is predeceased by his parents. He is survived by his wife Sandra Tripp, son Christopher Tripp, brother Randal Millhiser and wife Lyn of Raleigh, NC and niece and nephew Jessica and Jason Millhiser.
