Diane Sheehan

Born on August 20, 1939 in Hyannis, she was the daughter of the late Eulah Farnsworth.

Diane was a 1957 graduate of Barnstable High School. After high school, she attended the Faulkner School of Nursing in Jamaica Plain, MA. She went on to work at the Cape Cod Hospital as a Registered Nurse. She later sought higher education, attending Bridgewater State University for her undergraduate studies and later earned a Masters in Social Work from Boston College in 1988.

Diane loved her grandchildren and she spent every moment that she could with them. She enjoyed gardening and painting. Diane also enjoyed photography and was an avid reader.

She leaves behind the love of her life and husband of 50 years, Joseph L. Sheehan; her three daughters, Lisa Sheehan of Plymouth, Laura France of Centerville, Tara Mannis and her husband, Brian of Arizona; her six grandchildren, Jenè France, Thaddeus France, Joseph France, Theodore France, Tedaro France her four great grandchildren; her sister, Donna Pascucci of San Francisco, CA; her brother, Carlton Carlson; as well as several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Monday, September, 17, 2012 at Doane, Beal & Ames Funeral Home, 160 West Main Street, Hyannis, MA 02601.

Burial will take place at a later date in Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
