Donald Lane Anderson

Anderson, Donald Lane, of Yarmouthport, passed away peacefully two days after his 76th birthday on May 2, 2015. Donald was the dear son of the late Bob and Priscilla (Lane) Anderson. He will be truly missed by his devoted wife o f46 years, Pat (Murphy) Anderson as well as his caring son Benjamin and his wife Jennifer Anderson of South Yarmouth. He is survived by his brothers David and Scott and his sister Carol and his mother-in-law Emmie Murphy of Hyannis. Donald was the proud grandfather of Abby, Patrick, Lilly, and Matt as well as many nieces and nephews.

Donald was a proud member of the Army in his younger years, and enjoyed spending his life as an avid sailor. He was a 20 year member of the Hyannis Yacht Club and past member of the Bass River Rod & Gun Club. He also kept himself busy coaching Y-D youth hockey and had a passion for the sport of racing, if it raced he watched it. He was in charge of mechanical maintenance at Hyannisport Golf Club for almost 40 years. His true passion was working with his hands, be it in wood, steel or fiberglass.
