Donna A. (Wolcott) Henry

Donna passed away peacefully at the age of 72 surrounded by her family on the morning of July 27, 2018 at 7:27 a.m. in Palm Beach Gardens, FL. Born on February 14, 1946, Donna grew up in Braintree, MA and attended Braintree High School. She graduated from Northeastern University with a degree in biology and spent her entire professional career as a Histotechnologist at Newton-Wellesley Hospital. Donna married Robert John Henry of Roslindale, Massachusetts in 1980, and she gave birth to her son, Robbie Donald Henry, in 1984. She resided in Walpole, Hyannis, and Palm Beach Gardens with her family.

An avid sports fan, Donna particularly enjoyed watching Boston College football and basketball games with her son. Additionally, Donna enjoyed cheering for the Boston Celtics and the New England Patriots. Sports were not her only passion, however. Donna collected Steiff bears and Hummel Figurines, she loved to read, and she enjoyed sightseeing and hiking across the US.

Donna is survived by her beloved husband and loving son. She is preceded by her sister Sharon Gentile (Wolcott), as well as her parents Donald Wolcott and Muriel Wolcott (Ackles). Donna will be sadly missed by: Carol & Colin MacDonald of Easton, Mary & Kevin McColgan of Yarmouth, Thomas Gentile of Pembroke, and her Goddaughter, Stefanie Gavett of Weymouth.

Visiting hours will be held Wednesday, August 1st from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Doane, Beal & Ames Funeral Home,160 West Main Street, Hyannis, MA 02601. Family and friends will gather at the funeral home on Thursday, August 2nd from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. followed by an 11 a.m. committal service at Beechwood Cemetery in Centerville, MA where will Donna will be laid to rest.
