Elizabeth F. Guiod

Elizabeth F. (Glennon) Guiod, of Marstons Mills, died peacefully on Tuesday, March 7, 2017. She was born and raised in West Roxbury, MA to the late Frank L. and Johannah (Daly) Glennon. She and her husband Daniel proudly raised their children in Elizabeth's West Roxbury family home.

Elizabeth was a nursing assistant for 40 years. She worked for Star of David and Deutsches Altenheim Extended Care Nursing & Rehabilitation Centers in West Roxbury. In the last few years of her career she worked for Whitehall Nursing Home in Hyannis.

Elizabeth was a Friend of Bill W.'s for 44 years. She was a friend and mentor to many in the program.

She was a member of Our Lady of Victory Parish in Centerville and a religious education teacher. She adored her 2nd grade students.

Elizabeth was lovingly known as the Irish Princess in the Wingate of Sharon retirement community. She was a lady with an attitude.

Elizabeth is predeceased by her infant twin sister (Elaine); her son Daniel J. Guiod, Jr., her daughter Mary Elizabeth Guiod, her brothers David and Franklin L. Glennon and her grandson William Guiod. She is survived by her loving husband of 66 years Daniel J. Guiod, Sr.; her sons Christopher R. Guiod (and wife Martha) of Dedham, MA; John M. Guiod (and wife Carolyn) of Walpole, MA; Martin R. Guiod (and wife Christine) of Weymouth, MA and Peter C. Guiod (and wife Antonette) of Greenfield, MA; her brother Ronald A. Glennon (and wife Joan) of Quincy, MA; 13 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will take place on Friday, March 10th from 4pm to 8pm at Doane, Beal & Ames Funeral Home, 160 W. Main St., Hyannis, MA 02601. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10am on Saturday, March 11th at Our Lady of Victory Church 230 S. Main St, Centerville, MA 02632. Burial will be private at Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne, MA.
