Elizabeth I. Schwarzhoff

AGE 54 – HYANNIS

Elizabeth I. Schwarzhoff of Centerville, Massachusetts, affectionately known as Liz, passed away on July 19, 2015. Liz was born on January 9, 1961 in the Bronx, New York. She was the daughter of Dorothy A. Schwarzhoff and Bernard J. Doherty. After receiving her nursing degree, Liz spent much of her life caring for others. She was exceptionally compassionate and was able to infuse her great sense of humor into her nursing, bringing great pleasure to her patients. As well, Liz dedicated many years to the care of her mother and to her wife, Marie, exhibiting integrity and love.

Liz is survived by her sister Kate Santos and her husband Jackson; her sister Margaret (Peggy) Doherty-Rodriguez, her brother Daniel Schwarzhoff and his wife Nancy and their children Daniel and Kristen; her uncle Daniel Lynch and his wife Charlene; her cousin Blythe Conforti and her husband Michael and their children, Caroline, Catherine, and Mary; her cousin Ashley Lynch Hirschfeld and her husband Thomas; and her niece Susan Dauria and great niece Lila-Marie Conte. She also leaves behind her fiancé Regina Kraus. Liz was predeceased by her wife Marie G. Conte, her mother Dorothy A. Schwarzhoff, her father Bernard J. Doherty, her grandmother Olive Lynch, her grand aunt Grace Weaver and her aunt Carole Ann Lynch.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, July 29 from 4:00-8:00 PM at the Doane, Beal and Ames Funeral Home in Hyannis. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Thursday, July 30 at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Victory Church. Interment will follow at St. Francis Xavier Cemetery.
