Frederick T "Butch" Walsh II, died at the Cape Cod Hospital on August 22, 2015. Butch was born in Dover, MA to Thomas and Alice Walsh on July 14, 1941. He was a skilled automotive technician, and a champion racer in modifieds, super modifieds, midgets, sprints and motorcycles.
Butch was the 1973 NEMA champion driver, 1994 Grand National Champion New England Short Track, in the NEMA Hall of Fame, and three term president of NEMA. He moved to Hyannis, MA in 1999, where he enjoyed his spacious grounds and barn. Butch was a wonderful guy, who had dozens of real friends.
A celebration of Butch's life will be held on September 17, 2015, at Doane, Beal & Ames Funeral Home, 160 West Main Street, Hyannis, from 4:00PM to 7:00PM.
