Garfield Pearce Blight

Garfield Pearce Blight, 85, passed away at the Cape Cod Hospital, Massachusetts on May 7th, 2019 after a brief illness. Born and raised in Michigan, Mr. Blight was a graduate of Lawrence Technical University in Southfield, Michigan. Before attending the university, he spend two years in the Army, where he served in Korea in 1953 and 1954. He worked in sales and sales management with the business press, ending his 35 year career as publisher of Engineer's Digest magazine. Surviving is his wife Phyllis, daughter Linda Nesbit of Des Moines, Iowa; stepson, Greg Simcic of Ft. Myers Beach, Florida; seven grandchildren, and one great-grandson. Funeral services and burial will take place in Petoskey, Michigan. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his name to Our Lady of Clear Creek Abbey in Hulbert, OK.

Dear Phyllis,
I was extremely shocked and sadden to hear of the unexpected passing of your Dear Husband Gar. He was a wonderful friend to me and others, and always had nice things to say to everyone. I'm sending my sincere and heartfelt condolences to you and the entire Blight family. I will continue
to keep Gar and you in my thoughts and prayers.
