Gisela was the mother of Cathy, my son David’s wife (who died last year). Gisela and I bonded immediately, perhaps because we both spoke German. She was from Danzig, I from Kiel and Berlin. We both had lived through WWII.
I visited her in beautiful Hyannisport and she came to my wedding in Atlanta. She was loving and generous and very talented in designing and sewing. We had hoped for a long friendship, but sadly it was not to be. I’ll always think of her with love and admiration. 😢❤️🐝
