Born on November 25th 1938 in Fairhaven, MA, He was the son of Edward Johnson Sr. and Louise Johnson. Harold spent a short period of time In the U.S Army before starting his career in concrete forms at the Johnson & Johnson Co. with his brother Eric.
Pops enjoyed playing golf, playing pool, and playing cribbage with his longtime friends including "Cookie". If there was a Red Sox game on everyone knew pops was in front of the TV, with his $5 Cashword tickets. Harold was a Boston sports fan all the way.
He was a great man that everyone who met him fell in love with for his sweet, caring, loving and hard working self. Pops would go above and beyond for friends and family especially his
great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, Edward Buddy Johnson Jr., William Billy Johnson Sr., Charles Charlie Johnson, Richard Richie Johnson, along with his sisters Eleanor Johnson and Dora Johnson. Also predeceased by his late wife Nancy L. Bennett-Pinto and their only child Lisa Johnson.
Harold is survived by his brother Eric Johnson and sister Carole Johnson, his granddaughter,
Latoya Johnson and his god daughter Winnie Johnson-Graham, along with his great grandchildren, Dyvonte Johnson, Raeannah Johnson, Braidyn Sanders, and Steffanee Shulenburg, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at the Doane, Beal, & Ames Funeral Home, 160 West Main St., Hyannis, on Friday, October 6, 2023 from 2-5 PM.
