
It is with deep sadness that the family of Irwin Howard Sachs announces his passing on February 25, 2025, at the age of 85. Irwin passed away peacefully at his home in Hyannis, Massachusetts, in loving arms, after a brave battle with Parkinson’s Disease.
Irwin was born on January 25, 1940, in Staten Island, New York. He graduated from New York City Community College in 1959 before entering the Air Force. He proudly served our country for four years before continuing his career as a dental technician at the VA Hospital in White River Junction, VT.
Irwin settled with his family in Wilder, Vermont, where he enjoyed camping, fishing, riding snowmobiles, skiing, and boating. He also loved riding his motorcycle on a cool fall day, discovering new country roads. Over the years, he was the proud owner of five motorcycles and enjoyed riding late into his seventies.
He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. Irwin is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Roberta Sachs; his children, Robyn Sachs (and husband Daniel Carpenter), and Jodi (and Michael) Rubin; his grandchildren, who he adored and loved spending time with, Lily Rubin, Max Rubin, and Sophia Carpenter; his step-grandchildren, Dayna (and Antonio) Fisher and Bryce Carpenter; and his siblings, Sharon Klempner, and Marc (and Debbie) Sachs. Irwin was predeceased by his parents, Louis and Esther Sachs.
Irwin will be remembered for his kindness, sense of humor, adventurous spirit, obsession with pizza, and unwavering love for his family and friends. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

on Thursday, February 27, at 11:00 a.m.
Following the service, we will gather at the home of Robyn and Dan Carpenter, 720 Old Stage Road, Centerville, MA 02632.
