Jacqueline Faulhaber

March 12, 1947July 6, 2021

We regretfully announce the passing of Jacqueline A. Gibb Faulhaber of West Yarmouth, MA, on July 6, 2021. Jackie was surrounded by her loved ones and passed away peacefully.

Jackie, loving and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, was brought into this world on March 12, 1947, to Anna (Andrew) Gibb and Jack Gibb in Paisley, Scotland. After immigrating to the United States, the Gibb family made their home in Portchester, NY. Jackie married William Faulhaber of New Rochelle, NY, in August 1967 and together they made their home in Rochester, NH, where they raised their daughters. While Jackie was raising a family, she was an active volunteer in the local community with Girl Scouts of America, Allen School PTO and the New Hampshire Scottish American Society, Clan Buchanan. Jackie’s professional career as an administrative assistant for the Rochester School Department spanned over 20 years.

After her retirement to Cape Cod in 2010, she poured herself into her community. She was active in several organizations including the Friday Baking Club, Cape Abilities, and the Academy for Lifelong Learning. Jackie is predeceased by her parents, Anna and Jack Gibb, and her brother, John A. Gibb of Portchester, NY.

Jackie is survived by her best friend and life partner, William Faulhaber, daughters Darby Lewis of Plymouth and Alison Faulhaber of Lowell with their husbands Martin Lewis and Kyle Slowe. She adored her grandchildren Ashton and Stirling Lewis who knew Jackie as “Nanny.” She is also survived by her nephews John S. Gibb and Derek Gibb and her grand nieces and nephews.

Jackie’s family will be hosting a celebration of her life on Friday, July 16th from 1-4pm with a luncheon served at The Dennis Inn, 25 Scarsdale Road Dennis, MA. All who wish to attend are welcome.

Her final resting place will be at Woodside Cemetery with her family lair in Paisley, Scotland.

In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Cape Abilities, in her name.

Will, Darby and Ali, so sorry to read the news about Jackie. You guys were such good neighbors for 30 years on Darby Lane. It was so cool to find out the road we lived on was named after your daughter Darby. You're in our thoughts and prayers.

Will, Darby and Alison
My sincere sympathy for your loss. I considered Jackie, not only a coworker but a friend. She was the school secretary, and the nurse as well when I wasn’t there. I counted on her knowledge and common sense. I was so happy that she got to go back to her beloved Scotland a few years back. We have lost a wonderful person ( who, if she’s up there reading this, will be correcting any grammar and/or spelling mistakes in this memory 😉).
Love ya Jackie! Joanne Clark

Jackie takes with her such a willing heart and generous spirit. Even during her latest health challenges, she offered to help on a committee chairmanship for The Friday Club. I was to grateful for her willingness to assist. May this sweet soul rest in peace.

Dear Will, Darbie and Ali I can’t begin to tell you how sorry I am to have read the news of Jackie’s passing. It was back in 1987 when I enrolled Amy in elementary school that we became friends. She was one of the very first friends I had in Rochester. One of my saddest regrets is how after the move to the Cape we drifted apart. I have thought of her often and will pray for you all. May she Rest In Peace in her beloved Scotland. Love Pat

Jackie and I moved to the Cape at around the same time and met shortly after through ALL. She was a conscientious and dedicated volunteer and always a sea of calm in a crisis. The two things she was proudest of were her family and her Scottish heritage. She was a wonderful friend and will be greatly missed by all of us here, especially at our lunches. May you rest in peace back home in Scotland.
