John N. Greene, 79 of Centerville Massachusetts passed away on Thursday October 16, 2025. Born on May 10, 1946 in Weymouth, England, he was the son of the late John A. and Norma (Reed) Greene Bochino. Being from a proud military family, John spent some time moving around the country but ultimately settled on Cape Cod. A member of the Bourne High School class of 1964, and graduate of Suffolk University, John would spend time working in education and real estate, but found his true calling working in the service industry. “Johnny Greene” dedicated many years to different bars and restaurants around the Cape, but will be remembered best for his time owning and operating the Duck Inn Pub on Main Street Hyannis.
During his time at The Duck, John was a friend to many. Truly one of a kind, John was someone who would go out of his way to extend a helping hand to anyone in need. John was a proud and devoted dad to his beloved daughter Hannah. Hannah was the light of John’s life, and was extremely proud of all of her accomplishments. In addition to his daughter, John is survived by his siblings Steven Bochino and his wife Brenda, Anna Casciano and her husband Ron, Martin Greene and his wife Jane, Theo J. Schaefer, Hannah’s mother Terese Gosselin, and several loving nieces and nephews. John was loved by many and will be remembered and missed by all who knew him.
A wake will be held on Friday October 24th, from 4PM-8PM at Doane Beal and Ames, 160 West Main Street in Hyannis, with family remembrances to be shared at 7PM. A celebration of life will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in John’s memory be made to:
