Joseph R Hosford

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Mary E. (O’Neill) Hosford. Joey is survived by his 6 children and their spouses – Michael Hosford and his wife Karen, Mechanicsville, VA, Kim Higgins and her husband John, Pembroke, MA, Donna Clough and her husband Wayne of Duxbury, MA, Stephen Hosford his wife Brenda of Carver MA, Maribeth Waldron and her husband Thomas, Hanover, MA, Mark Hosford and his wife Chris, Grayslake, IL; 13 grandchildren – Erica, Zachary, Russell, Meaghan, Molly, Stephanie, Austin, Andrew, Samuel, Tracy, Kelly, Lisa, and Nicholas; 2 sisters – Audrey Hosford and June Kenny and his many nieces and nephews.

Born in Lexington, MA, Joey’s 35 year career with the Printing Products Division of 3M resulted in job assignments around the globe including Norwell, New York, Belgium, New Jersey and Virginia.

Joey was an avid golfer, member of the Cummaquid Golf Club, former college hockey player, active Boston College alumnus and former 1st Lieutenant in the U.S. Marines. He traveled to New Smyrna Beach, FL ever winter after retirement.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, October 18, 2012 from 4-7pm at the Doane Beal & Ames Funeral Home, 160 W. Main St. Hyannis, MA. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday October 19th at ST. Francis Xavier Church, South St. Hyannis at 11am. Burial will follow in Cummaquid Cemetery in Cummaquid.
