Judy, as she was known, was born in Jamaica, New York, on December 8, 1945, to Esther and Adam “Artie” Heck. She grew up in New Hyde Park, New York, and moved to Massachusetts after graduating from Wells College in Aurora, New York. She worked in the medical research field and retired as the administrator of the Center for Human Genetics, at Boston University School of Medicine.
An avid swimmer and golfer, Judy spent her retirement years in Osterville, Massachusetts, where she was often seen on the links or in the ocean with her father at Oyster Harbors Club where they were members. In addition to those sports, Judy played catcher on her softball teams with colleagues at Boston University.
She was preceded in death by her parents. Judy is survived by her brother, Gary, and a nephew and niece.
Burial was at Beechwood Cemetery in Centerville, Massachusetts. A private funeral will be held at a later date.
