Julie began a 36 year career teaching art in the Waltham public school system in 1967.
In 1985 she became the director of art for the Waltham schools.
After retiring she moved to Dennis Ma and began teaching adult classes at the Cape Cod Art Association in Barnstable.
She was an active member in both the Cape Cod art scene as well the New England Watercolor Society where she held several posts included VP 2017-2018.
Her work can be seen at the Cape Cod Art Association as well as the Fresh Paint Gallery at the Cape Cod Cultural center in Yarmouth.
Julie leaves behind her sister Louise and her husband Fred. Her sister-in-law Mary Geoghegan. Also numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She will be dearly missed.
The family is planning to a hold small private memorial at a later date.
