

Nora Manssuer. She married high school sweet heart Robert C. Bancroft and was blessed with 8 children and 28 grand children. She is survived by her husband Robert, her sons; Robert, Edward, James and Eric, as well as her daughters; Valerie, Eileen, and June. She is predeceased by beloved son Shaun, her Guardian Angel in Heaven. She is also survived by their spouses including, Lisa Gallagher, James Kelly, Mary Gallagher, Patricia Cottam, Paul Neary, Cynthia Eagar, Jeffrey Lucas, and Rachael Martineau. She was a loved grandmother to many including: Arlene, Alexandra, Danelle, William, Jonathan, Hilary, Caroline, Edward, Andrew, Robert C II, Matthew, Nicholas, Benjamin, Lucas, Eve, James, and Rose Bancroft; Kevin, Michael, Gregory Kelly, his wife Laura and their son, Collin James; Jennifer, Paul Michael, Colleen, Shaun, and Bryan Neary; Thelonious Bancroft Friedman, Olive and Desmond Lucas.
June enjoyed herself at their second home in The Villages, Lady Lake,
Florida and had a special love of the Hawaiian Islands where they would vacation annually. A member of St Mary’s Parish in Barnstable, she was a beloved wife, mother and friend to many, with an extraordinary gift to make all who knew her feel special. In later years she worked at Pairpoint Crystal in Sagamore. An avid golfer and legendary putter, she was also talented in many artistic endeavors. Some of her many talents include: knitting, needlework, tole painting, floral, jewelry and glass design, and interior decorating. Family was her focus; every Easter included a grand egg hunt with over 1000 eggs filled with treasures. Other annual family gatherings included the Shaun and Arthur D Bancroft Memorial Golf Tournaments, and traditional Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years family dinners. She remembered every birthday, anniversary, graduation, first communion, confirmation, baptism, or significant event with a special hand chosen card.
The wake will be on Monday December 5, 2011 at the Doane, Beal & Ames
Funeral Home, West Main St, Hyannis, MA from 4-8 pm. A funeral mass will be held Tuesday Dec 6, 10 AM Our Lady of Victory Church, 230 S Main St, Centerville, MA.
