Katherine Bastien

Kathy was born in Southbridge, MA., the daughter of George and Nausica Nikolla. She is survived by her daughter Michele Bastien of California, and her son Paul Bastien and his wife Lynn, of Oviedo, FL. Kathy is also survived by her sister, Eriphily (Lili) Respass and her husband Dalton of Worcester, MA., and her brother Theodore Nikolla and his wife Patricia of Southbridge, MA, and her grandchildren Cassandra Lent of Orlando, FL, Zachary Bastien and Noah Bastien of Orlando,FL. She also leaves nieces and nephews Marc Repass and his wife Hilary of Rochester, NY, Candace Staples and her husband Kevin of Worcester, MA, Gregory Nikolla and his wife Songkane of Sturbridge, MA., and Michael Nikolla of Southbridge, MA.

Kathy lived in Hyannis for many years, then Daytona Beach, Fl. for 16 years, then Albuquerque, New Mexico for 10 years, before returning to Hyannis in 2022. While in Albuquerque, Kathy traveled to Ecuador twice, devoting much of her life to spiritual education and counseling. She integrated native teachings and ways into her own life, becoming a certified therapist as a Reiki master along with other forms of healing. She was humble, independent and loved to heal people. Her calming nature and authenticity will be greatly missed by all who knew her…may her memory be eternal.

Arrangements are being made for a Celebration of Life gathering to be held this Fall in Orlando,Florida.
