

Born in Boston, MA on October 24, 1951, Kevin was the beloved son of the late Francis and Yvette (Marchand) Reece. He graduated from Braintree High School in 1969. Following graduation, he enlisted in the United States Navy, where he proudly served for six years until his honorable discharge in 1979. A Vietnam Era Veteran, Kevin served as a radioman in the Western Pacific.
After his military service, Kevin worked as a civilian for the federal government at radar sites on Cape Cod, including Otis Air Force Base, until his retirement in 1999. Earlier in life, he was also employed at Seymour's lce Cream in Dorchester and later worked for many years at Brookside Golf Course in Bourne.
An avid golfer and member of his high school golf team, Kevin maintained a low handicap and often spoke with pride about hitting a hole-in-one at the renowned Pebble Beach Golf Course in Monterey, California.
Kevin enjoyed following local sports teams and had a love of dogs, especially his longtime companion, Bella. A loyal friend, he cherished time spent with his buddies at the 99 Restaurant in Centerville. In his youth, he looked forward to annual family trips to visit relatives "on the farm" in New Brunswick, Canada. Known for his storytelling, Kevin loved family gatherings and reminiscing about the "good old days."
In retirement, Kevin faced significant health challenges, including a heart attack and several bouts with cancer, which he met with strength and a positive outlook. He was determined to live life to the fullest.
Kevin is survived by his brother, Michael Reece of Middleborough; his sisters, Sheila Curtis of Centerville and Cynthia Maynard of Pawtucket, Rl; his nephews, Ryan Maynard of Pawtucket, Nathaniel Reece of Rochester, and Shaun Reece of Middleborough; his niece, Meghan Unger of Pawtucket; and his great-nephews, Benjamin, Samuel, and Luke Reece of Rochester. He was predeceased by his nephew, Michael Maynard.
Family and friends are respectfully invited to visiting hours on Monday, September 15th 12:00 PM – 1:30PM at Doane, Beal & Ames 160 West Main St, Hyannis, MA 02601. Burial with US Navy military honors will follow and take place at 2:30PM at Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, October 11th, 1:00 PM at Lakeville Eagles, Lower Level 217 County St. Lakeville, MA 02347.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Kevin's memory to Dana Farber.
