Born in Hyannis, he was the son of the late Gerald Richard and the late Harriet (Mason) David and brother of the late Roy Richard, Paula Gonzales, and Eric Richard.
Kurt spent his early years on the South Shore prior to moving to New Hampshire where he graduated from Monadnock Regional High School in West Swanzey, NH. He moved back to MA after high school and went to school for HVAC education, a job he enjoyed for 20 years. Kurt was very talented in all fields of work. He made his way back to Cape Cod and worked for his brother-in-law at New Beginnings prior to venturing into becoming the sexton at the Federated Church of Hyannis for many years. Kurt's favorite hobbies were playing guitar, listening to loud Rock-n-Roll, going to concerts, and spending time with his nephews. He was a hard worker and was always willing to lend a helping hand.
Kurt will be remembered as being a loving, caring, and gentle son, brother, uncle, and friend to many. He had a great sense of humor and could make anybody laugh. He was loved by family and friends and will be greatly missed.
