Lloyd Paul Senno, 71 of Brewster, MA, passed away peacefully on July 3, 2018 after a courageous battle with cancer. Lloyd was the son of the late Paul and Frances Senno of Hyannis Port, MA. Lloyd attended Barnstable High School, Proctor Academy in Andover, NH and finished his education at New England College. Lloyd was an exceptional athlete – he played quarterback in high school and made All American playing Lacrosse and hockey. For nearly 20 years, he held the highest goals achieved during a single game.
Lloyd was married to the late Joyce C. Senno. He is survived by his daughter, Sarah E. Senno of Brewster and by his son, Tyler J. Senno of Sandwich, daughter-in-law, Laura Senno, two granddaughters, Raelyn and Olivia Senno, two brothers-in-law, Randy and Rodney Harnois and two sisters-in-law, Patricia and Pamela Harnois. In addition, he left behind many close friends he had collected over his lifetime.
Lloyd served proudly in the United States Navy as a Seaman during the Vietnam War. He had an extensive background in construction and sports management. He was a custom home builder, having built all 3 homes that he and his family lived in while his children were growing up. In the 1970’s he began the construction company, Senno and Time with a friend. He worked as the Admissions Director at Proctor Academy Prep School in the 1980’s. Later, he opened a sporting goods store in Harwich Port, worked as an architect for Gable Construction, and then as an outside salesman at Mid-Cape Home Centers. In his spare time, Lloyd coached high school hockey for the Lower Cape, Cape Cod Tech.
Lloyd was a kind hearted and generous man who continually offered support and assistance to those who needed it. He had numerous life-long friends that cherished him. Lloyd was a strong pillar within the Cape Cod community and will be missed by so many.
There will be a burial service at Mosswood Cemetery, 280 Putnam Ave, Cotuit, MA on Saturday, July 21, 2018 at 10:00 am. Family and friends are welcome. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to be made in Lloyd’s name to the Cape Cod Vet Center, 474 West Main Street, Hyannis, MA 02601.
