She spent most of her life as a nanny, taking care of other family's children like they were her very own. She also worked as a domestic worker. She was an active member of Saint Francis Xavier, the prayer meeting and volunteered for many years at the Aid's Office. Some of her hobbies include puzzles, knitting and cooking. Her most enjoyable past time was spending time with her family and friends.
Family was everything to Louise. Also known as "Nene" and "Chicha" by many. She had a very large family and dealt with many losses or her own - yet continued to smile, laugh and love. A woman of faith, she was always there to lend a hand, give advice and comfort you. She was a woman who was liked and respected by many, and loved by many more.
She is predeceased by her husband, Louis Pena; sons Kenneth Bruce, Steven and Louis Jr Pena; daughter Arlene Pena Shaw; sister Grace Tavares and brother Manuel Gonsalves. She is survived by her daughter Candias (Pena) Brandao of Osterville and son John Pena of Hyannis. Granddaughters Rachele Pena-Goffigan, Denise (Brandao) Harris, Page Pena and grandsons Anthony Pena, Adrian Pena, George Shaw and Michael Pena. Louise is also survived by 8 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and friends.
