Mary C. Sullivan

Mary C. Sullivan, 81, of South Yarmouth, MA passed away peacefully on September 12, 2020 at Cape Cod Hospital with her children by her side. Born in Chelsea, MA to the late Neal and Helen (Stec) Coelyn.

She resided in Boston until moving to Wareham in 1972 where she lived on Cape Cod for 35 years.

She enjoyed bingo, going to the beach and spending as much time with her children and grandchildren as possible. She also enjoyed country fried chicken, socializing with other and going for walks.

She is survived by her 8 children: Donna Bird (Todd ) of Pocasset, MA , John Sullivan (Jane Leonard) of Wareham, MA, Catherine Mendoza (Louis) of Port Orange, FL, Christine Strong (Kenneth) of Winchendon, MA , Mary Sullivan (Robert Ferreira) of Falmouth, MA, Neal Sullivan (Monica) of South Yarmouth, MA , Joanne Viera (Rodney) of Hyannis, MA and Debra Ortiz (Angel) of Tampa, FL. She is also survived by grandchildren: Jessica, Robert, Christopher, Kerri, Miguel, Angel, Kayleigh, Samantha, Tyler, Molly and Lilly as well as her great grandchildren: Avery, Noah and Christian. She is also survived by her siblings: Fred Coelyn of Bend, OR, Joan Kierman of Milton, MA and John Coelyn of Malden, MA. She is predeceased by her siblings Jeannette St. Andre, Betty Rizzo, Helen Gilbert and Neal Coelyn.

The family would like to thank the Yarmouth Fire Department for always being there for Ms. Sullivan. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Yarmouth Fire Department Fund.
