Maryann McParland, 56, of Hyannis, MA, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family on April 1, 2026. Born May 18, 1969, in Framingham, MA, Maryann was a beloved, devoted, cherished, and kind-hearted woman whose presence brought comfort and steadiness to those who knew her.
Born and raised in Framingham, MA, Maryann was the daughter of Albert and Sophie (Kobylarz) Mushinsky. She was a graduate of Marian High School in Framingham. At the age of 20, she moved to Colorado and attended Front Range Community College, where she earned her associate’s degree. It was also in Colorado that Maryann met her future husband, Jason. In 1996, they moved to Cape Cod and settled in Hyannis, where they raised their family and built a life grounded in love and dedication.
Maryann was a figure skating instructor, and her love of skating inspired her students. Through her teaching, she fostered a lifelong love of the sport in those she coached.
Maryann thoroughly enjoyed being a stay-at-home mom. She was a doting mother who would do anything for her girls. She also enjoyed attending concerts, and the love she and Jason shared for live music was passed down to their girls. MaryAnn also loved the beautiful Cape Cod beaches; she especially enjoyed her daily walks to the beach with Jason.
Maryann is survived by her loving husband of 25 years, Jason McParland; her cherished daughters, Angela McParland of Hyannis and Michaela McParland (Kyle) of Pullman, Washington; and her brothers, Jimmy Mushinsky of Framingham, MA and John Mushinsky of Hyannis, MA.
