W. BARNSTABLE- Nancy B. Wood, 82, died peacefully on Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Robert B. Wood with whom she shared 59 years of marriage until his passing.
Born in Needham, MA, she was a daughter of the late Ronald and Miriam Bruce. Prior to her retirement, Nancy spent her career as an elementary school teacher in Osterville. She loved animals and spending time outside, particularly bird watching.
Nancy is survived and will be deeply missed by her son, Daniel Wood and his wife Judy, and her four grandsons, Justin, Cameron, Robert, and Todd Wood.
In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her daughter Amy Linda Wood.
Funeral services will be private. A celebration of Nancy’s life will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Nancy's name c/o Cape Wildlife Center, 4011 Main St. Barnstable, MA.
