

Patricia M. Lambirth (Pat), 73, died peacefully after a short illness on January 9, 2013. She is survived by her four daughters, Michaela Marraffino (Redondo Beach, CA), Erin Wagg (Richmond, VT), Shannon Marraffino (Melrose, MA) and Siobhan Barber (Underhill, VT), her brother James K. Gardner and his wife, Linda (Fort Johnson, NY) and her niece, Kathy Gardner (Malone, NY).
Pat was born in Troy, NY to the late J Kenneth and Margaret Gardner. She received her Bachelor’s of Arts at St. Rose College in Albany, NY and pursued graduate studies at Canisius College in Buffalo, NY and Framingham State College. Pat served as a Librarian for many years at Medway and Raynham Public Libraries, Walpole and Gardner State Correctional Institutions and Rensselaer Polytechic Institute (RPI) in NY. She was active in St Joseph’s Parish in Medway, MA, where she was a Eucharistic Minister, Lector, and involved in the charismatic prayer group. She was also employed by W.T. Grant in Milford and Medway Savings Bank.
Pat enjoyed the Cape and made Hyannis her home in later years with the late James R. Lambirth. They actively raised Boston Terriers. Most recently she became involved with Elks Lodge #1549 in Hyannis. She held the position of Tiler and volunteered tirelessly. Her most recent accomplishment with the Elks Club was delivering 1000 dictionaries to local third grade children.
