Patricia Dumont Levine

Patricia Dumont Levine, aged 80, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on July 21, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of fierce dedication, boundless love, and a legendary sense of humor that kept everyone on their toes.

She was predeceased by her parents, Catherine (Cairns) and Paul Dumont, and her siblings, Paula Dumont Clark, Robert Dumont, and Chrisanne Dumont Rogers.

She is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Robert (Bob) G. Levine; her children, Bethany L. (Valine) Ambrose and her husband Jonathan Ambrose of Harwich and Robert (Robb) P. Levine and wife Elizabeth Devine of Shutesbury; her four adored grandchildren, Alexis and Logan Valine and Ani and Elena Levine; her living siblings, Ron Dumont and wife MaryBeth, David Dumont, sister-in-law Wendy Dumont, brother-in-law Christopher Rogers, and beloved nieces and nephews, Godchildren, and a community of friends and colleagues who will miss her dearly.

Patricia was born in Hyannis, MA; she went on to graduate from Our Lady of Lourdes High School in Poughkeepsie, NY, before returning to the Cape to pursue her passion for helping others. She earned her Associate Degree in Nursing from Cape Cod Community College, graduating with the highest honor of Valedictorian. Her remarkable dedication to her studies foreshadowed a deeply compassionate and distinguished career in nursing, where her bright mind and caring heart touched countless lives.

Her greatest passion was also her true vocation. For nearly 56 years, she poured her heart into caring for others at Cape Cod Hospital as an RN until her retirement in 2020. In the early days, before CCH had its own heart center, she bravely rode in ambulances transferring critical cardiac patients from Hyannis to Boston. She spent decades in the Coronary Care Unit, Ambulatory Procedures Area, and the Cardiac Cath Lab.

Outside of work, she was deeply active in her community and her faith at Our Lady of the Victory Catholic Church in Centerville. Alongside Bob and dear friends, she was a founding member of The Victory Players community theater. Pat and Bob were active members of the Hyannis Yacht Club for over 30 years and enjoyed the Friday night specials with her HYC friends.

She found immense strength and joy in her deep circles of friendship – from the beloved Willow Run Drive family and her cherished CCU friendships, to her multigenerational bonds with family friends. Pat shared countless adventures with her "Golden Friends," making decades of unforgettable memories throughout New England, especially during many years at LA Retreat in Maine, and on trips to California. She held a special, lifelong love for her dearest friend and Faulkner Hospital roommate, along with her wonderful family.

Pat earned the beloved title 'Auntie Beannie' from her Godchildren, thanks to her dedication to tracking down the exact Beanie Baby to go with every storybook she gave them. Yet, some of her happiest moments were spent right at home. She could often be found reading her newest library book while her husband, Bob, did various projects around the house. She loved nothing more than dipping her toes into Lake Wequaquet with her family by her side, watching her grandchildren frolic in the water. Her grandchildren were her entire world, and "Gma" poured herself into their lives, from rocking them as infants to teasing them with her sharp, hilarious wit as they grew. She attended every school performance, hockey game, dance performance, theatrical show, and equestrian competition she could. Whenever a meal or a moment was truly spectacular, she would proclaim, "C'est si bon!"—a phrase and a joyful tradition that her children and grandchildren will proudly carry on forever.

A wake will be held on Sunday, August 9, 2026 from 4:00pm to 6:00pm at Doane Beale & Ames 160 W Main St, Hyannis, MA 02601. Please join us for a time of reflection and mutual support. Funeral services will be on Monday, August 10, 2026 at 1:00 PM, at Our Lady of the Victory Church in Centerville.
