Patricia B. “Sugar” Stott, 86, of North Palm Beach, FL, formerly of Osterville and Southborough, passed away on October 19th, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of good trouble, contagious joy and most importantly, boundless love.
Born in Westfield, Massachusetts, to John F. and Helen Burke, Sugar never met a stranger, a party or a wild story she didn’t love. She had a larger-than-life personality, a bigger laugh and a talent for making any ordinary moment a little more interesting. Above all, she was happiest bringing people together. Her door was always open and nothing pleased her more than a full room with everyone laughing and swapping stories.
She was predeceased by her parents; her siblings, Mary Kennan and John Burke; her devoted husband, Jonathan Stott; and her treasured daughter, Darby.
She is survived by her son, Jonathan “Jed” Stott, his fiancée, Kerrie Kelly; her cherished grandchildren, Elizabeth “Libby” and Charles “Charlie”; and many loving nieces and nephews, all of whom have a favorite Sugar story, and probably more than one.
A visitation will be held on Monday, October 26, 2026 from 10-10:45 AM at Our Lady of Victory Church, 230 South Main Street, Centerville, MA 02632, followed by her Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at St. Francis Xavier Cemetery, Pine Street, Centerville, MA 02632.
A celebration of Patricia’s life will follow at Alberto’s Ristorante, 360 Main Street, Hyannis, MA 02601.
Sugar would want you to tell a good story, sing a little too loud in church and gather the people you love. With that, Sugar’s memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends and in the countless moments of love, laughter, and togetherness she helped create.
