Paul A. Gargano, Esq., born January 9, 1938, in Cambridge MA, passed in peace surrounded by his family on July 23, 2021 in West Hyannisport, MA. Devoted husband to his wife Sheila (Drohan) Gargano, with whom he shared 58 years of marriage, loving father to Alison Gargano DaPonte, Esq. and her husband Michael, Melissa Gargano Strong and her husband Adam, and his late son Paul N. Gargano. He loved and was adored by his three grandchildren, Andrew, Mary and Emelia DaPonte. He achieved this after graduating from Suffolk Law School in 1963. He helped and represented people out of his true love of the law and caring nature. He wrote and published textbooks defining and clarifying the Workers Compensation laws for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Paul enjoyed many notable accolades throughout his legal career and in turn gave back to his community including establishing scholarships at Suffolk Law School, thus giving back greatly to the scholarship system that benefitted him.

Family was the core that drove Paul’s life and heart. He dedicated his everything to creating a loving, fun, enriching life for his family that included a lifetime at the beach in Nantasket, Cape Cod, Nantucket, the Cayman Islands, and skiing in New Hampshire and Vermont. It was truly an educational and pleasurable experience doing some work for Paul in the past. He and his wife’s sense of humor made working for them enjoyable. Best wishes to the family.

Uncle (Big) Paul. Words cannot express my sorrow at hearing of your passing. So many of my greatest memories growing up were spent with you at our amazing family parties that you made happen. I can close my eyes and see you standing at the grill at the house on Nantasket Beach asking me if I wanted hot or sweet italian sausage. You were always laughing and smiling and telling jokes. Thank you for always making us Sheehan boys feel so special and loved. From taking us skiing in New Hampshire to the countless parties you hosted that I will always treasure. To Missy, Ani and Sunny I am so sorry for this huge loss. Your Big Paul is now with your Little Paul, and I know without a doubt those two will always watch over you. Love ya!
