Peggy Jean Ferguson (Bell), 65

Peggy Jean Ferguson (Bell) went home to Jesus on Wednesday, September 23, 2020 with her family by her side.

She was born on January 7, 1955 in Little Rock, Arkansas to the late Noah and Victoria Bell. Peggy left Arkansas with her mother and siblings in 1962. She received her early education in the Barnstable school system, completing her education in California where she received a degree in Sociology from Los Angeles City College. She married Prince Ferguson on March 21, 1981, going on to have three children, Rodney, Ryan and Rone. She was employed as a contract divisional manager for SAG-AFTRA (Screen Actors Guild American Federation of Television and Radio Artists) until returning to her home in Hyannis where she worked for a time at the Craigville Conference Center managing housekeeping services for the facility.

Anyone who knew her knows that she was fun loving, caring, and would β€œTell You Like It Is”. Peggy was also known for her adventurous spontaneous spirit. She was always up for anything at any time and she truly believed in living for the day. She enjoyed watching court TV shows and listening to music, particularly Old School and Gospel, often times singing and dancing along to the music. Throughout her entire life, Peggy held an unwavering faith in God, which she shared with those who surrounded her. Above all, her most cherished time was spent surrounded by family, particularly her grandchildren.

She is survived by and will be deeply missed by her sons; Rodney Ferguson, Ryan Ferguson and Rone Ferguson, four brothers; Leroy Baucom ,Walter Bell, Perry Bell and Rick Bell, five sisters; Nellie Sampson, Betty Hayes, Dorris Elijah, Debrah Campbell and Vicky Bell; and several loving grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Peggy was predeceased by her siblings; Rosemary Bell, Noah Bell Jr. and Anthony Bell.

"The Broken Chain"

We little knew that day,
God was going to call your name.
In life we loved you dearly,
In death, we do the same.

It broke our hearts to lose you.
You did not go alone.
For part of us went with you,
The day God called you home.

You left us beautiful memories,
Your love is still our guide.
And although we cannot see you,
You are always at our side.

Our family chain is broken,
And nothing seems the same,
But as God calls us one by one,
The chain will link again.

Gale Barros

To the entire Bell Family. This is Gale Barros (Roderick). I have so many great memories of Peggy and Myself, especially in school. My favorite was when we use to meet at the bus port in the morning and exchange clothes and shoes. She was always there for me as one of the greatest friends I will always cherish. Her smile was worth a million dollars! She was the most honest, caring and loving person who I had the pleasure of sharing my life with. She would do anything for anyone with no questions asked. When time went on and we did not see each other, then we would meet again and feel like no time had passed between us! I will treasure all the moments I had the pleasure to been blessed to have her in my life. Her smile will live on forever and forever. She will always hold a special place in my heart until we meet again...And we will definitely meet again. All My Love and Sympathy will be with the Bell family now and forever..
