Phillip Louis Edmonds Sr.

Born and raised in Newark, NJ, Phillip graduated from Weequahic High School in Newark, NJ with honors. He attended Lincoln University majoring in Engineering.

Phillip was born on August 18, 1963. He will be deeply missed by his wife Sophia V. (Charles) Edmonds of 28 years. Children Shawn Hunter (Emelah Newsome), Dianne Anderson-Guerrero (David), Rashod Hawkins, Naskassia Decarlo Mincy, Brandon Edmonds (Gabrielle), Nyisha Edmonds, Crystal Edmonds and Phillip Edmonds Jr. Grandchildren Deshaun Myricks, Shadrea Johnson, Aljahmir Newsome, Ziary Hunter, Armani Hunter, Destiny Hawkins, Ariana Hawkins, Harmony Lott, King David Guerrero, Elahni Guerrero and Rami Edmonds, Great Grands, Jhaquee SaHir Johnson and Kha`mari Chester Brockington. His siblings Gerald, Sr. (Marcia) Allison Edmonds-Manning, Calvin Edmonds, Ellen Perkins (Lamont), Shelly Edmonds-Lee (Don), Kimberly Edmonds, Tomiko Edmonds-Durand (Papouche). His twin sister Phyllis L. Edmonds (Orlando). Franklin Dabbs, Bernadette Clarke (Melvin) Sharon Edmonds-Dent (Ace), Freddie Edmonds (Lawanna), Jeanne Pearce and Lanell Pedro. God children Frankie Monae and Julian Walls, as well as his Aunt Joyce Edmonds and mother-in-law Brenda J. Charles. Special cousins Wendell Edmonds and Denise CM along with a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Phillip was predeceased by his Father Percy Edmonds, Sr. his mother Lorraine Edmonds, his brothers James, Sr., Stanley, Joel Sr., and Percy, Jr.

Services will be held Monday, December 7, 2020 at Doanes Beal and Ames, 160 West Main Street, Hyannis, MA 02601.
